Some of my portfolio work.
A book cover project for the J.G.Ballard novel ''The drowned world''. My idea behind this cover was to produce an item that felt like it came from the story. I also wanted to get across the idea that what was once beautiful is now disfigured and you may no longer see what was beautiful.
This is a website design project that was a collection of me, I chose to photograph my dressing table and show myself using and wearing some of the items I have on my desk. This was a fun piece of work with lots of sense of humor.

Self-Portrait
''Am I too much of one person!'' Here are a few self-portraits I have created of myself, I am constantly changing my hair colour and style and am always wearing something different, therefore instead or portraying myself in one self-portrait why not do multiples.

A walk on the beach
Its still freezing cold and I cant wait till the sun begins to shine and I will be able to sit on the beach. But for now a quick stroll across the beach and a glance at Eastbourne pier will have to do. This week has been busy; I have been preparing my portfolio for university interviews and continuing with projects. I have now just got to work out an outfit for the interviews and all should be good!

Let it snow !
Suppose it’s that time of year again and we didn’t even make it to December before the first snowflake fell, but once it started falling it didn’t stop! Some trains in and out of London have come to a halt, people are abandoning their cars on streets and motorways and supermarkets can’t get the milk bread and eggs out quick enough! From what I can remember we have snow most years and as a young girl I remember having snow that piled up to car bonnets. Why after all these years has no one yet understood how to get on with it! In Canada they seem to! One of my ideas was to buy a defender with snow tyre's and grab out my ski salopettes, jacket and gloves and continue going about my normal day, if only I had the money!
When the snowfalls it does make everything looks picturesque and pure, like nothing bad could have ever happened. I can quite easily sit inside and watch the snowflakes flakes fall all day. This type of weather we associate with Christmas therefore most people are beginning to get into the festive spirit but I am yet to see a house with Christmas lights up, when I do I will be sure to take a picture and post it! I did venture out yesterday to take some photographs of the park and the beach, last night I took pictures of the snow falling and today captured what I could from my window are I was so cold out.

Protest Against Student Cuts.........
Last week I took to the streets of Hastings with classmates to protest against the cuts and increasing fees in education. We chanted the words ‘’No if’s, No buts, No education cuts’’ whilst we marched round town before gathering for speeches. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to get their opinions heard of what they fear may happen.
As a student myself, I have put myself in debt to get an education to help me in a future career, I have worked hard to get here and continue to work hard to achieve a degree and I feel upset that this opportunity may be taken away from some young people and adults who would like to study part time. Many people will not be able to afford the potential increase of fees there for this will ultimately make higher education a ‘’luxury’’ or ‘’privilege’’ for those who can afford it. Education is a right not a privilege!
I have been following the student protests happening in London and Brighton and did become disappointed to see the violence that had occurred. What also shocked me was the violence that students were taking out on the police. The police are doing their job, however they were being attacked in vans, items thrown at them spat on, all behavior, which is not necessary. What I am trying to say is that there have been so many cuts already in this country and so many people have lost their jobs and many sectors such as the nhs and the police force are understaffed or not recruiting any more people as their budget may not stretch that far, therefore why are protesters treating them with disgust? If a doctor arrived to give medical care or to save someone’s life, are they going to be treated in the same way?
I would love to hear your thoughts…

All these choices....
There are those times when you are faced with a decision between two things and you can only pick one. What happens if you are not sure what one to pick? How do we know if we have made the right choice? And do we get a second chance?
Day to day we make all types of decisions and choices like what sandwich to have or will it be a cup of tea or a coffee this morning, most probably your choice will depend on the night you had previous. When we make the decision, we are 95% happy with the choice made without even thinking about it. But why is it that when making a choice that will effect the rest of our lives or at least a major part of our life do we find so hard? Through my experience so far, I have found that maybe I have been scared to let one thing go or I feel that I cant decide even though I know I have to, I try all opportunities to get around the situation or hope that something will happen where the right choice becomes clear. After asking friends who have had been in a tricky situation before, where they needed to make a choice they told me that most of the time they just go with their gut instinct. What is this gut instinct they are talking about? Why have I never had this instinct!!! Sadly sometimes we have to go to hell and back to get what we want, or through the most confusing and frustrating times just to find out what we want. We wait for other people to tell us what they want and sometimes it may not be the same and we feel like we have wasted time, however what if we just asked, what harm would that do. If you want something so badly why not just go and get it, what have you got to loose. This thing that we are all searching for in life maybe a career, a family, relationship and the one you love.
If we don’t try how will we ever know!!!!
